Located in Gudhjem
Gudhjem is always referred to as the most picturesque town on Bornholm. It is hard to disagree.
The hotel is situated only a few minutes on foot from the lively waterfront where things are happening all the time. From here, there is ferry service to the Ertholmene archipelago, as well as a small tour boat which provides service along the coast from Gudhjem to the Helligdomsklipperne rock formations.
If you would like a bathe in the Baltic Sea, this is possible from a splendid sandy beach in the village of Melsted, just one kilometre from the hotel.
Holiday with many options
There are many options for wandering through the village or along the rocky coast to Melsted. Visit one of the village’s many cafés or add an authentic Bornholm touch to your holiday by visiting the smokehouse to savour the herring dish named “Sun above Gudhjem”. Gudhjem Museum is situated on the ridge above the village and always features an interesting exhibition.
Gudhjem Mill is also at the “top” of Gudhjem where it is possible to taste some of the many different food products Bornholm has to offer.
At Nørresand, at the northern end of the village, you can visit the wonderful Oluf Høst Museum. The Helligdomsklipperne rock formations, seven kilometres from Gudhjem (and also the location of the Bornholm Art Museum) are also worth visiting.
